The Bristol - Waterloo trains are well used. Should they cease to run in December with no timetable provision for connections in their place, this will cause ongoing reputational damage to the railway until the matter of the connections is addressed in the December '22 timetable change.
Better to do this: reintroduce the pre-Covid service of three trains a day. Retain them until such time that there is provision made for the passengers that use these trains.
This is a task for the people compiling the 2022 timetable - it cannot be done for December 2021. This approach will allow the railway to enhance its reputation, and also allow a popular train service to further grow its passenger numbers.
