Children in cooperation with a Bath based residents association were inspired by the King Bladuds Pigs project to stage a fundraising event for the Two Tunnels route themselves. We're very grateful for this - and here's the story in their own words:

We wanted the children of Devonshire Buildings to give the King Bladud’s Pigs a run for their money!
We'd visited the pig workshop behind the Royal Crescent and asked if they were going to sell miniature pigs for kids to decorate. Sadly they weren't - but on the way home we realised that we could just buy 'Paint-your-own' piggy banks! We have a street association which agreed to pay for pigs for all the children to decorate however they wanted.
The finished pigs – 17 in all plus two official mini pigs kindly loaned by the pig people – were displayed in front gardens (including a couple hanging in trees and one in a giant spider web) on 3rd August. We also had stalls selling goodies and bric-a-brac and a pin the tail on the pig game. We raised almost £100 for the Two Tunnels Project – all collected in the piggy banks of course!
As well as having great fun decorating them, once the takings were handed over, all the kids got to keep their piggy banks! Here's the whole collection proudly lined up on a garden path - select this image for a larger version ...
